Intelligently renovated to incorporate a high level of comfort, beauty and service, le Gondole offers couples the opportunity to embark upon a totally romantic Venetian experience.

Set on the fashionable island district of Giudecca — whose famous denizens include the likes of Hotel Cipriani and Harry’s Dolci among others — just a ten minute ferry ride from St. Mark’s Square, le Gondole sits front and center across from the trendy Zattere promenade.

We feature seven units served by an English-speaking reception, open daily from 9 am to 6 pm. Aside from far reaching canal views, spacious accommodations and well put together décor, each unit comes with three hours of daily maid service included in the price. Also included are: daily towel changes, a hearty breakfast basket, individually controlled heat and air conditioning, Wi-Fi Internet access for those with a laptop and free use of the Hilton Hotel’s water shuttle that stops across the canal and at Piazza San Marco. The staff can assist with securing private water taxis, dining suggestions and laundry service.

All the units are primarily designed for one couple with some having additional bedding suitable for a child. Groups renting multiple units should consider Buccaneer in the mix, as this large corner unit comfortably seats six at the dinner table and seven in the living area.

Throughout, you’ll find small modern kitchens with espresso machines, gorgeous marble bathrooms with hair dryers and triple paned windows that drown out most of the water traffic and church bells. They even dampen the horns of arriving and departing cruise ships from the terminal, 400 yards away.

Next door, The Hilton offers our guests a 20% discount at their five restaurants and free use of their water shuttle that operates twice per hour from 8 am to midnight. Please note, on arrival day guests must reach le Gondole on their own either by taking the vaporetto from the train station or the Piazzale Roma car park or by hiring a water taxi.

Within 70 yards lies Harry’s Dolci, one of Venice’s best restaurants, worthy of a definite splurge. The chocolate cake is sublime. The 200 yard walk to the Palanca vaporetto stop is along a boardwalk passing small food shops, a few restaurants and a bakery. By water taxi the Accademia Bridge is in five minutes; Piazza San Marco: 10; Piazzale Roma, the Lido or Murano: 25; Marco Polo airport: 40.
