General Description
While Federico Malaspina led armies, won decisive battles and built this 16th-century tower, just 35 minutes south of Italy's most romantic city, he could never have enjoyed it as much as our guests do today.
Air conditioned throughout, with screens on all windows and furnished in a standard befitting a Veronese lord, this tower successfully combines history with modern day comfort and style. The property is part of a vast agricultural estate producing tobacco, grain and dairy. All farming activity lies off of another estate road at least 100 yards away. The building is made up of three sections: our rental taking up the entire left side including the tower, the estate office and the owner's second home. They also reside in nearby Verona.
The rental comes with two furnished gardens, a barbecue and four bicycles. Each bedroom has its own bathroom with heated towel racks. The grounds, a washing machine and a pool are all shared with the owners who have a small dog. Maid service and meals may be arranged when booking.
Concamarise, 500 yards away, has shops, a restaurant and a caffè bar. This area, called Basso Veronese, offers castles, prized Vialone Nano rice, Valpolicella and Soave wines and produces handcrafted furniture, as seen in this home. Mantova is within a 30 minute drive; Verona: 35; Lake Garda or Ferrara: 60; Vicenza: 70; Padova, Parma or Cremona: 90; Venice or Milan: 120.
