The experience you are seeking in Italy depends on decisions only you can make. Here are two initial questions to ask yourself

1. Which is more important to you, a Specific Location, or Services and Amenities? If you lean strongly toward services and amenities, concentrate only on those properties that provide them. A villa offering all the amenities you seek may be in a region of Italy you haven't yet considered. When a specific location is the top requirement, not all services or amenities may match your needs.

2. Are you an Innie or an Outtie?

Outtie If you plan to get up each morning and drive to far-away towns and cities, consider properties that are closer to major roads and highways. Avoid those that list words such as "isolated" or "remote" and check the distances expressed in time or miles within the text. Innie If this is your shot at redemption, the chance to relax and get away from it all, and you need to get in sync with a simpler way of life, a more remote location may draw you in. You can explore nearby villages and still find time for a major foray into a bigger city.

If you have determined whether you are an Innie or an Outtie and how Location or Service specific you are, you should now begin to consider the style of home that appeals to you most. Remember, many properties date back hundreds of years. We consider authenticity to be part of their charm and encourage you to keep this in mind when selecting a property.
