Size Matters Property size is determined by the maximum number of people a home can sleep. For instance, if a property is listed as Sleeps 6, it accepts up to six people, including children. In a Sleeps 6+2 home, there are two more sleeping places, which brings the total to eight. These extra places are on sofa beds, bunk beds, beds not in a bedroom, or a cot placed in a bedroom. A sofa bed sleeps two, unless it is listed as a single sofa bed. Some properties have one price for 6 people, and another price for up to 8 people. In such cases, these properties are on the regional listing page each time size and price differ, click on the one that fits your size group.
Nap Time Italian beds are similar in size to those elsewhere. Mattresses rest on metal mesh, rete, or wooden slatting, doghe, for support. Unlike the US, box springs are rarely used in Italy. Single joinable beds are single beds that may be joined together to make a queen. In such cases, tell us how you wish these beds to be made up. Some queens are made up of two single mattresses permanently joined and fitted with queen linens. King size beds are rare. Parents with infants should bring portable cribs, as few properties have cribs.
Child Safety No home is to be considered child-proof or child-safe. Children should always be under direct adult supervision. Some properties exclude children between certain ages and this is noted in the property description and under the symbol for children.
