Light My Fire Unless mentioned, heating is paid for separately. Electricity is usually included in the rental price unless the property is air conditioned. Fireplaces are listed and firewood is usually inexpensive and can be bought locally. Homes with insufficient heating sources are not made available during winter months. Exceptions to the above are mentioned.
Keeping in Touch Properties with a phone symbol have a phone. You pay for calls made. If the phone is in the reception office or in a common lobby, it is mentioned in the description. Some properties provide a cellular unit with a rechargeable usage card, and there may be a small fee or deposit for this portable convenience. If a property does not have a phone, you can rent a cell phone from us that can be used overseas. U.S. cell phones do not work abroad. For fax/email, we also rent data-capable phones that can be hooked to a laptop, as most phone jacks in Italy are not compatible.
